Miley Cyrus dengan bangga membawa pulang salah satu gelar paling bergengsi, yakni Best Video lewat klip Wrecking Balls. Sementara itu Locked Out Of Heaven dari Bruno Mars menjadi yang terbaik di kategori Best Song.

Walau belum terlalu lama comeback, Eminem masih dianggap rapper yang terbaik tahun ini. Pelantun single The Monster ini meraih gelar Best Hip Hop MTV EMA 2013.

Salah satu kategori yang paling ditunggu-tunggu oleh fans, yakni Best Look diraih oleh personel One Direction , Harry Styles . Sedangkan One Direction sendiri sukses dengan gelar Best Pop.
